Gunlock Night Tournament Results

    We continue to have great turnouts and a lot of the reason is due to our Tournament Director, Duane (Longhair) Pearson.  His hard work and time spent on the phone really has paid off this year.  With his help we rounded up a total of 16 boats. 

    Gunlock at night in July was not the big fish factory it was back in May, but we still had a good number of 20 inch fish brought in to the weight in.  It was slow to say the least with only 1 team catching a limit of 5 fish.  Taking 1st place was the team with the limit, Kevin Carter and Beau Schmid with a total weight of 18 lbs and 4 oz.  They also took home the 2nd Big Fish Award with a nice 5 lb 8 oz fish.  2nd place went to the team of Tyler Vanderhorst and Ted Carter with a total weight of 14 lbs 3 oz.  They also took home the Big Fish Award with a 5 lb 14 oz giant.  3rd place went to Jeff Rogers and Jon Rogers with a total weight of 11 lbs and 5 oz. 

    Thanks to all that came out and toughed it out.  It was slow as expected for Gunlock, but as you can see there are some nice fish in this lake it's just not easy to catch them.  We did get some reports of smallmouth being caught and some crawdads.  If you didn't get tapped or catch some of the crappie and bluegills then you must have been sleeping. 

    We also want to thank Sportsmans Warehouse for giving us yet another great raffle with 2 rods and lots of other tackle.  See you all at Quail Creek next month for another night tournament.
