Newcastle Recap
Newcastle Results
Newcastle provided some really nice smallies once again. Saturday Brian Reaves and Steve Brown put together a really nice bag of 13 lbs 2 oz. Second place went to Rob Huston and Scott Gubler with a 10 lb 13 oz bag and big fish of 3 lbs. 3rd place went to Moe Gray and Brandon Sullivan with 9 lbs 9 oz. Moe would have had 2nd place but 3 of his fish died giving him a penalty of a 1/2 a pound per fish. 2nd big fish went to Frank Siedlecki and Thomas White who had one at 2 lbs 14 oz.
Sunday was a little tough fishing but Brian Reaves and Ted Carter brought in a nice bag of 11 lbs 14 oz and big fish of the day at 4lbs 5 oz. 2nd place went to Kevin Carter and Steve Otto who had a bag of 9 lbs 9 oz. 3rd place went to Tyler Vanderhorst and Scott Gubler with 9 lbs 7 oz and 2nd big fish of the day at 3 lbs 12 oz.
Our next tournament is at Gunlock on July 14th. It will be the first of two night tournaments. Lets hope that Gunlock produces the same kind of fish it did in the spring. Rumor has it that someone caught a 10 lb plus fish out of there last week. Hope to see some pictures of that fish. Also, on June 30th at Sand Hollow there is a charity fishing for handicapped kids. Steve Miller is looking for people to take these kids fishing for a few hours. We hope some our memberswill donate their time and boats to this good cause. There is a link above that will provide contact information for you. So if you can please help these kids have a great time.
